TOGG entered the list of best employers

Turkey's Automobile Initiative Group (TOGG) was awarded the "Best Employers List" in the program run by the Great Place to Work Institute.

The domestic automobile, which will be produced by Turkey’s Automobile Initiative Group (TOGG), is now counting the days to have a say in the electric car market.

TOGG has proven with an international certificate that it has built a human and trust-oriented corporate culture.

In the program carried out by the Great Place to Work Institute, which supports corporate culture in more than 60 countries on 5 continents, we have successfully completed the study that measures the experiences of employees about corporate culture through the titles of “reliability”, “respect”, “equity”, “pride” and “team spirit”. TOGG, which completed the project, was entitled to receive a certificate and to be included in the “Best Employers List”.

TOGG Senior Manager (CEO) M. Gürcan Karakaş, whose views are included in the statement, stated that they are happy to see that the sense of trust and belonging has become an important part of the company culture, even though they are a new organization.

Karakaş said, “We participated in the Great Place to Work research in order to compare our strong and open areas for improvement on a global platform within our strategic goals, but the result was more than that.

As a young company, achieving this success in the first year we participated in the research is also important in terms of showing that we are on the right track in building corporate culture.”

Noting that they are organized in an unusual way at TOGG, Karakaş said, “Our difference stems from the trust we have in the expertise of our employees. We form agile teams that are decentralized, can work autonomously, can make decisions based on consensus culture and are self-organized.

For us, the strength of the arguments is more important than the hierarchy in shaping the decisions. We do not include applications that may hinder agility. That’s why we don’t use the classic hierarchical structure and titles.

Likewise, we do not limit abilities to specific job descriptions. Everyone has the opportunity to work on the subjects within their knowledge, develop themselves and see the whole picture, as well as their strongest competencies and fields of work.

With the results from the Great Place to Work Institute, we have proven that this structure we have established is welcomed by our employees. We will continue on our way by always aiming for the better.”
