In his statement about the TOGG project, Deputy Minister Kacır drew attention to a different issue this time. Bringing the battery and charging stations to the agenda, Kacır said that there will be very important developments in this area in 2022. Where Will Electric Charging Stations Be Installed?
Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, reminded that there are not charging stations for electric vehicles in many parts of Turkey yet. Stating that there are some problems for the electric car revolution in our country, Kacır stated that they continue to work without interruption to solve them as soon as possible. Accordingly, electric charging stations will be established all over Turkey.
Stating that they have published the technical standards regarding the installation of electric charging stations, Kacır said: “We have determined the need for charging stations in provinces and districts. We have designed support mechanisms for this. By the end of 2022, we aim to have our fast charging stations ready all over Turkey to support TOGG’s sales.”
TOGG will produce its own battery
Together with TOGG, a great contribution will be made to the spread of electric mobility in Turkey. Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Kacır stated that a facility was established in Gemlik for TOGG to produce its own battery. The production of the domestic car battery will officially start in Gemlik very soon. In this way, TOGG will become not only an electric car, but also a brand where different systems and technologies will be produced, from battery to autonomous driving.
