According to the written statement made by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, deputies visited the TOGG production facility to inspect. Parliamentary Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission Chairman Ziya Altunyaldız and AK Party members of the commission Fahri Çakır, Ahmet Çolakoğlu, Osman Boyraz, Fuat Köktaş, Selma Kaplan Kıvırcık and CHP Tahsin Tarhan, MHP member Abdurrahman Chairman, IYI Party member Ayhan Altıntaş and deputy ministers Çetin Ali Dönmez and Mehmet Fatih Kacır were the names that took part in the trip.
TOGG CEO Karakaş Made a Presentation
TOGG CEO Gürcan Karakaş made a presentation on R&D studies to Minister Varank and other members on the commission. Karakaş stated that the factory in Gemlik district of Bursa was established on an area of 1.2 million square meters and mentioned its advantages by saying that it is close to technology centers, Bursa and Kocaeli. Tahsin Tarhan from CHP, who was specially invited by Minister Varank, got behind the wheel of TOGG and listened to the technical specifications of the vehicle from CEO Gürcan Karakaş.

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank said that they visited TOGG with his deputies and said the following about the construction of the factory: “We got information about the process from our friends there. Turkey’s Car project is currently continuing as planned. The construction of the factory continues at full speed.”
“Turkey’s automobile project is a project that will transform the automotive industry in Turkey and give us the momentum. Turkey has the capacity to manufacture 2 million vehicles. We are one of the most important players in the world, in Europe, but if we want to keep the automotive industry competitive with the world, we definitely need to make a move in electric and autonomous vehicles.”

Standing out in the automotive industry as Turkey’s competitive automobile brand, TOGG is planned to be taken off the band in the last quarter of 2022. TOGG, which has the title of being the first electric SUV model vehicle in Europe, is expected to be on the market in 5 different models by 2030.
