One of the most curious things about Turkey’s car is its price. Underlining that the car will reach 80 percent occupancy with fast charging in under 30 minutes, TOGG’s CEO Gürcan Karakaş explained the latest point reached to Dünya Newspaper.


Karataş also gave the answer to the most curious question about the domestic automobile. He said pricing will be known by the end of 2022 and early 2023.

He announced that the C-SUV model will be launched in its class, at a price that will compete with existing vehicles sold in Turkey.


TOGG will be charged to 80 percent in 30 minutes. So, will the charging infrastructure support the use of electric vehicles? Karataş responded by saying, “The issue of charging will no longer be fear.”

He said that they plan to install a charging unit in every 25 square kilometers where the population and traffic are heavy.


Touching on the supply and chip crisis that deeply affected the automobile industry, TOGG’s CEO said, “We will not be affected by the reservations we made with the right planning.”

Karataş pointed out that the new danger in electric vehicle production is the battery crisis, and said, “We will end dependence on foreign energy by producing our own batteries.”


The first electric SUV is planned to be rolled off the production line by the end of 2022.

  6. What a joke. Local people will not be able to afford this car. They don’t even have infrastructure to support electric vehicles. Another goverment wasting money to fill in their own pocket.
