The 12th Bosphorus Summit, organized by the International Cooperation Platform (UIP), attracted great attention in the press. One of the most important guests of the panel was Gürcan Karakaş, the manager of Turkey’s Automobile Enterprise Group (TOGG). In his speech at the panel, Karakaş said that there has been a great transformation in the world and that new opportunities have emerged with it.

He emphasized the transformation of the automobile into a living space, especially with the triggering of social life systems and mega trends with the developing technology. Noting that they define not only an automobile but also a smart device, Karakaş stated that they have started to develop the ecosystem that will be formed with their business models. He reminded that TOGG is a technology brand as much as an electric car.

“TOGG Will Become a Living Space”

In his statement on the subject, TOGG CEO Gürcan Karakaş said the following on smart ecosystem development: “If we no longer focus on the use of vehicles, connected vehicles, autonomous vehicles, with the support of technology, we will be able to do in the car what we can do in our home or office. So it will be a living space. As such, companies that were established from scratch from the very beginning, like us, set out by targeting more than automobiles, and that’s what we did.”
