There are new developments regarding the highly anticipated Togg in the electric car world. The latest statements about the domestic car Togg came from Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır. “We are in the last 12 months to see Togg on the roads.” Kacır said, making the citizens waiting for the domestic electric car curious.

Battery Investment Coming Fast

Expressing that electric vehicles are rapidly becoming widespread in the automotive sector all over the world, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology said that after 10 years, at least half of the vehicles sold in the market will be electric. Drawing attention to the domestic automobile from this point of view, Kacır said, “TOGG was designed as an innately zero-emission, innately electric vehicle, we are getting ready to hit the roads.

The ecosystem that will develop around TOGG will also be very valuable. Our battery investments gained momentum. TOGG will be investing in batteries with the company SIRO, which it has established, and I hope this investment will be realized quickly with the support of our Ministry.” said.

The partnership with the Chinese battery manufacturer is seen as an important advantage for Togg. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, drawing particular attention to this issue, said, “As the Ministry, we are carrying out serious studies to support other battery investments.” He said that the work continues without a break. While the domestic electric car Togg is expected to be on the roads in the first months of 2023, it is noteworthy that a clear figure has not yet been given about its price.

Charging Infrastructure All Over Turkey

Kacır, who said that the efforts to establish a national electric car charging station infrastructure gained momentum, emphasized that they acted together with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, EMRA, the Ministry of Industry and Technology and all other stakeholders: “The Ministry of Industry and Technology will be established in Turkey very soon. We will also launch a support program for fast charging infrastructures, and our goal is to equip all 81 provinces of Turkey with fast charging infrastructure within 1 year. Hopefully, we will be able to implement this quickly.”
